Kumho Tires Grassroots Motorsports $2007 Challenge

For the 8th time, we challenged our readers to buy, build and race a car on a budget. And once again, they rose the challenge at the $2007 challenge. As in previous years, the rules may have been simple, but the entries were amazing, with everything from a Chaparral-inspired “sucker” Corvette to a Zamboni.

In fact, for those who think Challenge entrants couldn’t possibly do such amazing things with a measly 2000 bucks and change, we’ve posted the the build diary of Team Cheapparal online, detailing exactly how they built the Challenge-winning “sucker” Corvette for less than 2 grand. Start believing… and get your project entered for 2008.
