Ready for Nationals Sep 4, 2008
Our trek to Topeka, Kansas, starts in just a few days. Tom and Per will be driving the MINI Cooper S out there for competition in G Stock.
We visited Geoff at Andre’s Automotive for a slight alignment tweak—we dialed in about 3/16-inch toe-out for the front wheels, up from zero. Our goal is to improve front grip and turn-in.
Aside from that, we’re just deciding on which race tires to bring along. We’ve got both Hoosier A6 and BFGoodrich g-Force R1 tires that would work. We’re leaning toward the latter to see just how close the R1 can come to the more prevalent A6.
