lazy man's way to cleaning bolts

Suggested by saabsgonewild

If you have rusted bolts, nut, washers etc, and they may be greasy too…

Get some limeaway and mix it 50/50 Limeaway/water or 25/75 Limeaway/water and put the hardware in a plastic jug that you can cap (plastic peanut butter container?) fill to cover the stuff, shake, and put on the shelf, shake when you go by it, give it a couple of hours, then pour through a stainer (make one by drilling a plastic jug, plastic juice jug with cutway next to the handle and lots of holes in the bottom) and do this over a larger pan, you will reuse the mixture several times, in the toilet it goes when it’s done.

Don’t let it sit too long and KEEP AWAY FROM THE CHROME fixtures (drain bits) in the bathroom because it will cloud the finish.
