DD#1 is looking for a low-cost autocross car so she doesn't have to run the C-Max in HS. Not really looking to enter the Challenge with it, but the budget is right, longshot though it may be.
- Manual trans strongly preferred
- RWD strongly preferred
- Street legal and running
- Reliability more important than performance
- Cosmetics way down on the list as long as it's a complete car that can be parked outside without becoming an aquarium
- Located within 1-day fly-n-drive distance of Philadelphia / Baltimore
I pointed her in the direction of the $1900 Neon, which would be ideal, except it's FWD of course and she was not intrigued.
Whattaya got?
In Haggerstown there is a rx7 and a miata setting just outside of town on the main road if your going towards Carlisle. The miata was nice and $2000 94 with 210K
The blue bastard miata is for sale, I'd give you a great deal, but noisy motor and not street legal currently are probably deal breakers.

Nice '94 you say? Hrrrrm. It would be nice to permanently solve the 1996 Manic Miata's OBD-II compliance issues by rollerskate-swapping all the important bits into an older chassis. Then I could cobble together a more-or-less stock rust-free 1996 for her.
Now all I need is a month and a lift. Thanks!
