Don't have any advice but my gf has owned a '91 GMC 3500 minibus for 15 years that we converted into a weekend camper so I'd love to see pictures of  yours!

I am sorry, I deleted my original post.

Here it is.

First time poster, long time lurker.

I'm having issues with a 93 5.7 short bus build.

After a rad flush and new thermostat install, new coolant temp sensor and new single wire temp sensor I'm having odd temp readings at the dash.

After getting up to temperature it will spike to mid gauge and will stay there until the engine is revved up.

I have tried burping the coolant system 4 times using the funnel filling kit method.

After being capped off occasionally the top hose will be super tight and other times I can squeeze it.

Thanks for any advice.

Pics for reference.

From probably 5 years ago or so out in the Laurel Highlands. Some day I'll make a thread about it,  maybe when I revise the interior.

Hey Joe, I suspect you'll get a lot more answers if you ask the question on the main section of the forum:

It does sound like air trapped in the system, can you get the nose higher? Once warmed up rev it up some to get the water pump moving.

Does it default to middle when the engine is off?  Check the engine grounds?

Sounds like a failing radiator cap
