Was running into interference between the tie rod and leaf springs. Decided to add a 1/2" spacer to the bottom of the leaf pack. It's bolted in with the center bolt.

Transfer case was way overfull when we pulled the front output yoke off so we pulled it out and replaced the gaskets and seals. Also did a transmission filter, gasket and fluid service.

Back outside again. Front sits higher than I had planned. Was hoping it would be level with just adding a zero rate in the rear. Once the 9.5 is ready I'll get that in with the zero rate and see how it sits.

Solid axle swaps make me happy.

Also, i need to find a camper shell like yours for my black truck.  Preferably with no windows. Make camping at the track plausible.

Started getting the 9.5" for the rear cleaned up while I hunted for and waited for parts.

Finally tracked down a used Detroit and ordered my gears, install kit, brakes etc.

Super Shims.

Started on the gear setup and ran out of time, back at it Friday afternoon.

The squat is really considered super cool in some places.  You could probably sell it like that at a huge profit.

Definitely not Carolina levels of squat but significantly more than I want!

Got back on putting the 9.5" rear together.

Yukon 4.56s and a used Detroit.

First pattern was close but showed the pinion a bit deep. Took out .002.

New pattern with the 0..2 removed from the pinion. Chef's kiss.

With the pattern where we wanted it it was time to take it all back apart, swap out the set up bearings for the real bearings and put it all back together.

Inner pinion bearing into the oven.

Nice smooth install with it up to temp.

Adapters and rotors on.

Almost there.

Beefy BTF diff cover.

Getting measurements to see how much to machine off the spacers, lots of variance on the 14 bolts leads to having to make adjustments once you assemble.

Once I get the adapters machined we should be good to reassemble and install, after we get past the record low temps we're expecting this weekend.

Lots of snow removal and sick family members this past week but I did manage to get a few things done.

Replaced the steering shaft with the new Cunninham Machine unit.

Got the front toe in closer, hopefully close enough to drive to the shop for the alignment.

Moved the rear axle back 1 inch on the Zero Rates, this helped center the wheels in the wheel wells and also helped get the driveshaft to transfer case engagement back closer to where it should be.

Running out of things to post updates about, that must mean it's almost done.

Did get the new O2 sensor in and wire up the ELocker. Goes to the shop at the end of the week for alignment then I'll start putting the miles to it.
