1999 Mazda Miata Sport

1999 Mazda Miata Sport, 118k miles on chassis and transmission. The previous owner replaced the engine with an engine from a wrecked 2000 Miata (with a California exhaust manifold w/precat) due to a warped head in the original engine. The AC works, interior is in good condition, and the top was replaced. It has a hard dog roll bar. It appears to have been involved in a minor collision in the right front and the car has been repainted. The paint is not great. All the Sport items are present, except for the right front Bilstein. I have replaced the valve cover gasket, cleaned the EGR, upper intake manifold to correct a P0402 code, and replaced a leaking PS hose. I am located near Savannah, GA. $4500

I installed a federal (no precat) exhaust manifold this weekend. It was a lot of fun.

I'm interested if you can answer some questions.

Does it have no AC, no power steering, no cruise control and no ABS?

Would you be willing to ship the car?

It has AC and power steering. No cruise or ABS. I won't ship the car to Africa but, I don't have a problem shipping it in the US after I receive payment.

It doesn't come with a canoe but, you can install a hitch and tow one.

I removed and sold the roll bar. New price is $4250. I am seriously thinking about keeping it.

I am moving soon and won't have a garage spot for this car, so it is for sale again. Since my last update, I have replaced the front camber bolts, installed Koni yellows with Fat Cat bump stops, RB 1.125" front bar with 949 endlinks, RE71Rs with 37 runs and 2000 street miles, new fuel injectors, new MAF, MOOG upper control arms, lower ball joints, fuel pump, fuel filter, front undertray, "custom" axle back exhaust, clutch master / slave cylinders, AC removed, and all fluids changed.

I had a wild hair a couple months ago and spray painted it orange over the poorly painted silver. It looks decent and would look good with more paint, wet sand and clear coat. Mileage is about 120,500.

There will be a local autocross on July 8th, that a perspective buyer is welcome to co-drive with me. Price is $5250. I can text or e-mail pictures.

I have a bought five D-Force 15x6 +35 offset wheels and 5X aluminum lugs for it. I will include them for $250.

Extra: The car was in an accident of unknown severity in the right front. The strut and lower control arm were replaced as a result. A local alignment place wouldn't align it because the RH front wheel is 1/4" behind the left and the RH rear wheel is 1/8" behind the left. I aligned it in my garage. It tracks straight on the road and autocrosses great. I had a 1st overall pax and a 4th overall pax in events this year before I apparently forgot how to drive.

I fixed an exhaust leak this weekend and washed it.

I am open to offers. I am also open to trading for parts (+cash) that will fit a 2017 WRX. I am looking for 17x9 lightweight wheels (RPF1, Hypergrams, etc..) and coilovers (Ohlins, RCE, HKS SP, Feal, Form & Function).

GLWS, price still seems high to me personally, but I bought an NB 2 weeks ago so I'm not really a potential buyer anymore.
