That car has the incredibly rare in the US E34 sport seats, FWIW.
If it truly is a head gasket, there's always the blue devil!
How bad does the smoke smell have to be that the kids in the backseat are hanging air fresheners?
I contacted the seller and asked if he thinks it would make it back to my house, hopefully he is straight up ... If I can drive it home I might get it. It would be a great car/project for my 16 year old.
Man, as much as I want to get back into an E34, I can't swing a project :(
