Seeing if anyone here might be interested in my beater, located Austin Tx
Before any judgement on me please understand this car has been a work beater that's driven less than 200 miles month.
1999 Ford escort zx2 231k miles
Clean title
Overall car looks rough but been super solid for me. Interior is old,dirty and probably stinks. Paint is faded, rear bumper is broke, and it's on steelies.
The good:
Has a S/R ECU and correct CCRM, 93 tune, B&m short shifter, hacked intake, anddd rare Tokico S/R struts. Tires are cheap but have lots of tread. Doesn't leak/burn oil or coolant.
A/C and heat works.
Past year; New plugs,wires, coil pack, fuel filter,belt, clutch slave/master cylinder.
Car is 99.99% rust free
The bad:
P/S line has leak, shifter bushings are shot, clutch needs re bleed.
Timing belt needs to be replaced, one of the pulleys makes noise occasionally. Exhaust manifold has a crack.
Included;
New Timing belt kit, water pump, brake pads. Old ECU/ccrm
Price wise I'm thinkin $750 obo. Like title says testing the waters here. Hopefully purchasing new vehicle tomorrow, after that it's guarantee to be for sale.
