Nearly ready-made race cars: compact, custom and rare to see–even rarer to own.

This 1951 Allard K2 Roadster seamlessly integrates an American V8 engine into a British chassis. Sporting a revamped aluminum body, UK-exclusive Ford Pilot chassis and adorned with iconic Allard design touches, this Allard showcases a timeless piece of racing history.

Not only does this Allard K2 include standard documentation and authenticity, but its journey can be found in Gavin Allard’s pivotal book “Allard: The Records and Beyond.”

Ordered in 1950 and delivered in 1951, this Allard K2 is said to be one of 119 produced. Everything from the ship it arrived on to the shop that installed its V8 can be found in that book.

Find this 1951 Allard K2 Roadster for auction at RM Sotheby’s, with an estimated value of $100,000 to $140,000.
