I think the 986 Boxster Brood might outnumber the Mazda5 Mafia now! So who all has a 986? Shall we make a single repository for day-to-day stuff?
I have a 2000 Porsche Boxster S, 3.2/MT6, silver/blue/blue, that I got in November of 2018 and set up for CS autocross.
00 986 S speed yellow, but I also have a 94 Laguna blue Miata (soon to sell).
01 Boxster 2.7/5spd, triple black with sport seats and red seatbelts (too cool).
It’s only been a week and a half but I want to drive it everywhere!
Eventually I’ll try to find some clear headlights and add some Carrera lightweights.

1998 2.5L. Bought specifically for rallycross but it's become a do it all car. Since I sold my BMW I've been street driving it more and I like it way more than I imagined possible when I first bought it. It's been autocrossed, though I don't seem to have any photos. In the next few weeks it's going to another rallycross then a track day at Mid Ohio, possibly with an autocross in between to make sure everything is good to go.

Streetable cars that I currently own: This, That, Other, wife's 2001 ("Vi-ster"), and the Challenge car (2001 base).
Three 1999s sold, 2 parts cars stripped, and a 2000 S project car - stalled for too many other projects that I'd rather work on.
In reply to AAZCD :
I love them all! Other is probably my favorite until the V8 goes into the Challenge Boxster.
Currently taking care of Spinout's old ride. 1998, 125k miles

Good thread idea, Javelin! Jeebus, there are some beautiful specimens here.
Street legal autocross/track days 99 2.5.
Under 2500 lbs. so far, still plenty more weight to shed. Body work and aero in the plans, mild power upgrade. Stock; 16.6 lbs/1 whp. Goal; 12.4/1. Plans for square tire set up.
In reply to Hasbro :
Dude that thing is wild! How did you lose so much weight already?

I was really surprised by how much stuff there is to pull. Every night I go out and chip away. Older pic, all of that black insulation around the motor is out. Heavy stuff! It's also 9 to 10" shorter, less overhanging weight past the wheels.
'99 2.5 base.
Litronic lights, and special order paint (Ocean Blue Metallic IIRC) were it's high points. Sold a few years ago now, owned it before I bought my Corvette convertible. Buy and drive from Pennsylvania to Oklahoma.
Loved the car, it was our first "non essential" car, something that we got to have just for fun. Took it for a track day, got me hooked on track days.

Hooooo weee that color was pretty!

They let you track the car like that? I thought you would need a hardtop or roll bar.
Beautiful car.

The Boxster has a built in rollbar from the factory.
Had this for about 2 months. Inspired by AAZCD build for the Challenge, thanks Jon! 1997 2.5 130K, rough around the edges, but was super CHEAP.
So, where the cheap Boxsters at?
