The world lost a legend with the passing of Ken Block, but, luckily, we get one final chance to experience his insane driving skills with Electrikhana Two.
This time, Ken blasts his way through, over and around the streets of Mexico City in the all-electric Audi S1 Hoonitron.

Absolutely, wasn't expecting that part. Another fun vid to watch though.
I found that what looks like gears that he was shifting is actually a wheel speed scaling/limiter system, the car is a single-speed that tops out a bit over 200kph. A higher "gear" allows a higher maximum wheel speed.
Also if anyone else was thinking that it looks like they went through one set of tires for each scene, it was probably more than that, for a previous video they went through over 100 tires But apparently they were using 30~50 tires per video with ICE-powered cars. That previous video also only took about half the battery's charge.

Dude was a legend. I watched with my two boys (8/5), they absolutely love the Gymkhana videos. I love that it sparks their imagination...I see it in the way they design their hot wheels tracks and play with die-casts around the house.
It hits like the end of Furious 7, for me.
"...it's been a loooong day, without you my friend, and I'll tell you all about it when I see you again."
Cue the tears...Daddy is fine
And hug your loved ones often
Im not crying, youre crying
RIP, Ken, and thanks for all the fun. You were one of a kind.
And BTW, anyone that thinks that EVs don't have the potential to sound good needs to hear this video. No fake ICE sounds needed, either.
Fantastic as always. One of my heroes.
I wish I did not watch THIS first though. It did not lessen the driving just the bliss of ignorance would have been great.

I don't know if this is silly to say or not, but the full extent to which this sounds exactly like driving an RC car is shocking.
