That looks way too classy for a Mustang.

What kind of real world gas mileage are you seeing? In liters is ok, I can do math

The window stickers says it will get 32mpg - I am averaging 26mpg with a 50/50 split of hwy and in town. It seems to just loaf along without issue all over town in 3rd

Did you mean 23 mpg on the sticker? No way that car is rated at 32.

Probably not - these are UK mpg, since he (like me) is a Canuck.

2 seconds off an Elise 'round an Auto-X course in a Mustang, is bloody impressive. Well bought! (and well driven.)

Ford doesn't do too bad do they?

In US gallons, I get around 19.8 mpg in mixed driving or 26 mpg on the highway.

Glad you're enjoying the car. It's amazing how well the platform works in near-stock trim while remaining a fantastic street car. I think a lot of people are only now beginning to recognize how capable these cars are as prices come down enough to get them into the hands of real enthusiasts.

^Agreed. I got to drive a friends brand new '05 back in '05, I was REALLY impressed with everything about the car.

Except the cost of insurance. That's the deal breaker for me. For example my 350Z was $85/month, my current Speed 3 is $68/month.

The quote for a 2006 Mustang GT was $175/month!!!!

Wow. I'm really surprised. In '05 when I bought new, the GT was a little more than the Cooper S, but a little less than a Nissan full size pick-up and WAY less than the WRX I test drove.

Thanks to crimson for posting the pic of my windoiw sticker - I was without power.

Look - 32mpg. For a comparison my father recorded 32mpg on a trip across canada in a c5 vette so it is doable.

Omg gas miileage and its not a prius!

Also takes 87 pee water

Life is good

No arguing with the number on the window sticker, but the EPA does rate the car at 23.

DOE website

The new V-6 Mustang is only rated at 31 highway, so I don't see how the GT can be rated at 32.

Different units. 32 Imperial MPG = 26 USMPG

Last night I completed the final suspension mod. Put on a Strano front bar. I have yet to play with the settings of the bars - have them both in the middle - still not getting understeer. Have another event on Tuesday night. I think over the winter for giggles I will toss some cams into it

I'm really glad you decided to ditch the "I'm leaving it stock" mantra you had when you first purchased it

In reply to AutoXR:

I love your car - everything you've done to it and everything you're doing with it.

But, I'd have to have a factory or short, aftermarket lip spoiler on the deck lid.

Awesome "auto-x" course!! Looked like a good run except for the last slalom when the car got hungry and ate that cone

We sort of call it Solo 1.5 -- in Canada autox is Solo 2 and Time Attack Solo 1.

Video of the Elise on the same track, for comparison:
