Is there anything Nissan centric especially maintenance/repair wise out there? Or something like Scotty Kilmer that's actually useful.

I still don't understand why people call a moonshiner's turn a J-turn. There's nothing J about it. Or is the J turn the one where you don't have enough speed going into it (or you hit the brakes), so the car stops, then you drive away?

Been watching a lot of stuff from Tested lately, Adam's shop stuff is worth the time.

Been making me think a lot on his hatred of drawers and working towards first order retrievability. Probably making wheeled racks for some of my stuff in my shop (pliars, screwdrivers, hammers, etc)

Love Bad Obsession Motorsports, as well as pretty much all of the others previously stated, so i'll focus on the unmentioned and not necessarily automotive.

  1. I've been watching Johnathan Ward (Icon) for a bit. He has excellent eye for details, which helps me out (he can sound a bit snooty though, if you don't mind that)....

    https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCWBzWXHGLP-xnlhkGF0JHiw

  2. This guy is a carpenter that makes incredible power tools/machinery..

    https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCckETVOT59aYw80B36aP9vw

  3. Pazi88 basically taught me how to tune a Megasquirt ECU (subtitles);

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zlyywPM0TCM

  4. The Fabrication Series, while their videos are pretty long , they have some nice "shortcuts" to fabbing.

  5. Kirby Meets Audio just makes cool home audio stuff...

Maybe leaves J-shaped black marks?

AvE is very skookum.

I like AvE. Another good one is the Hydraulic Press Channel -- it's just what it says on the tin. :) I used to watch RCR, but I've been less interested of late and wind up skipping most of them.

Usually not car-related, but I also enjoy Scott Manley's KSP videos too.

Not if done properly. Not surprisingly to those who know me, I've actually gotten out of the car after doing one (on snow) to see what the tracks were like. They weren't at all what I expected, and are damn near impossible to describe. Once you see them, you can identify them immediately.

Sloppy Mechanics hasn't been mentioned?

900 rwhp out of junkyard parts. A couple ratty old Ford Fairmont 4 doors that are solidly in the 9's thanks to Chinese turbos on high mileage junkyard sourced LS engines.

I've been following Hoovies garage recently. Kind of a kooky guy but he has interesting cars and his facial expressions crack me up.

David Richards, recreated a revenue generating 1920s steam powered line shaft machine shop.

Another one if you like old iron, Keith Rucker of VintageMachinery.org.

General machine work, mostly marine, Keith Fenner.

Finnegan's Garage, pretty self explanatory, it's Finnegan's Garage.

I stumbled across Tips from a Shipwright yesterday. I'm going through the skiff build now. Not gearhead related, but if you are at all interested in boat building or woodworking, the guy does a great job explaining things and shows a lot of little tricks.

Gears and Gasoline has hit or miss stuff. the ZX2 turbo build was cool to watch, they have a new Subaru project that looks fun. Their Grid life coverage is really good too, other than that I don't like much there.
Poor Man Mods has fun stuff to watch as well.

Rest are listed

I have a few non-car related ones that I am going to add. I do like watching some of the Motortrend stuff like Roadkill, Engine Masters, Dirt Everyday and Hot Rod Garage. I have stopped watching B is for Build because of some of the super unsafe things I have seen on there.

Primitive Technology (turn on the subtitles for more detail)- https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCAL3JXZSzSm8AlZyD3nQdBA?&ab_channel=PrimitiveTechnology

Joe Robinet- Does a bunch of survival/camping stuff up in Canada. I have picked up a bunch of nice techniques for building stuff in the wilderness, minimal packing, etc. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCts-8ZqS339n-9nxy3DN8Cg?&ab_channel=JoeRobinet

Hot Ones- Interview show, 10 wings, both interviewer and guest go through questions after eaching progressively hotter wings, there are some really amazing interviews when people's brains shut down as things get hotter- https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLAzrgbu8gEMIIK3r4Se1dOZWSZzUSadfZ

If anybody likes just awful camera work, some pretty powerful foul language, and me ranting about my hatred of SRT-4 owners check out Cowbell Customs. Our motto "bad cars, worse workmanship, worst editing"
