Nah, these came this way. It's a nice replica seat apparently but just a replica. A bit of internet digging has them worth about a grand, not $5k.

Real ones are worth crazy money. Glad I got mine when I did...
Almost bought a lower mile tracked one for 86k a few months ago. Chose a Z06 instead...which ended up not working out.
