Whatever happened to windows that you could comfortably hang your arm out of?

freakin hybrids....Just offer it with the Civic Si's standard engine.....a car this small with a 4-banger should get great mileage even non-hybrid. stupid tree-huggers ruining everything that should be fun.

Oh, and just call it the CRX again, jeez....CR-Z is too close to CR-V....

yeah i totaly throught it would be a new CR-V when i first heard the name. and yes, manual and Si engine would be immensly better than a hybrid. offer them both together! its not like they should have trouble fitting it in there! and how much more development would it take?

when I was car shopping last year, there were at least 5 or 6 compact/midsize cars that I could not comfortably hang my arm out of (I'm 6'0" tall)....all this "high waist look" stuff has killed arm comfort and interior visibility/blind spots.

Happy to report that the new WRX, at least, has perfect-level window sills :)

I really liked this concept when it came out and didn't really expect it to make it to production, so it's pretty cool they actually pulled the trigger. However, 2800lbs & 140hp aren't exactly the exciting specs you want out of a modern ($$) car with sporting intentions, hybrid or not. I guess we'll have to see what the real performance is once it comes out.

well, considering how honda does hybrids.. that is 140hp gas engine with electric assist.. so probably close to 200hp

2800 Ibs? Perhaps CR-P "Porker" shall be a bit more appropriate. Please, Honda Gods put this car on a Diet.

Meh from me, too.

Sadly, this is another example of Honda having lost it's roots. They have traded "go" for "green".

I've had three 1st gen CRX's and am the only owner of a '90 EF Civic. I'd look at other brands before looking at a new(er) Honda now.

Heck, my oldest nephew and his wife both engineer/manage for Honda America and his car is a E90 M3 sedan. At last recollection, she had a BMW X-series.

That's gotta say something.

OK I have two replies...which is better:

1.) Didn't they just put the NSX platform designer in as CEO?

2.) Suggested name change: CR-Y. Keeps things in order and expresses my feelings.

I like the looks of it.. certainly different from the Priusesque look most hybridz seem to be going for

It looks spectacular. The hybrid part does nothing for me, but it isn't a deal breaker either, as long as the performance is there, and it should be. It's the weight. This thing is 1000# more than an early CRX. I don't expect them to be able to hit 1800# anymore, but 2300# certainly seems reasonable.
