While you're in there....

My simple p/s pump replacement has turned into a turbo and manifold swap with possible custom exhaust and intercooler/piping.

Oh and a mechanical fan delete. I figured, since I was in there....

That phrase is my enemy. I'm just changing a component, not doing a restoration.

Not really. Almost all junk yard parts

Stock turbo was junk when I bought the car just been nursing it for way too long. Had the bigger turbo on the shelf for almost a year now. The new gaskets and fasteners for maybe 2 months. 90+ manifold was a yard find too along with an extra downpipe. Big intercooler is on a local forum for cheep. Using a free Saab in-hose temp sender to trigger the fan. So far the only problem is the fan I had left over from another project (that I made money on, the fan is pretty much free) is too small and there are no E-fan setups for sale online right now.

Off to the parts store to buy a new fan at wholesale(I love having access to discount codes)!

You might look for a older ford taurus fan, really good e-fans, not sure if it would fit but something to look at.

My last stock 960 E-fan setup with fan, harness, relays, and shroud cost me $45 from a junk yard-and didn't fit my last 940.

Just bought a 16" Hayden kit that fits in the stock shroud perfectly. Just need to wire it up using supplies from the several scavenged wiring harnesses I have laying around. The NEW fan cost me $45 with my discount

I was fully prepared for many studs broken off in the head and had been spraying them with PB Blaster about once a month. I even bought a complete set of new studs just in case.

Naturally, the nuts were practically falling off and nothing broke................but the p/s line is frozen in the shot pump.
