The Unicorn sighting thread.

Never saw one before and I have been to hundreds of VW. Shows,

 I wonder if it was built in Europe or ?

This morning, I thought I saw an NB Miata coming my way. As it got closer, I thought it was an Aston Martin, which would have been the second AM of the day (because Connecticut).
 

As it passed, I knew both guesses were wrong. I recognized the car, but it took about two hours of sorting through my memory bank to figure out what it was.

Yes. My buddies and I designed it and built 3 of them. Sold a few as kits. 

What was the purpose of the Z8?

All I remember is, 1) James Bond 2) iirc reviews said overpriced/unexceptional for the cost 3) imo, ugly. 4) I think there was speculation about it being a collectible investment (but I thought used prices dropped in the following years). Asking prices are currently $180-240k on ebay. Just BMW blowing money for marketing/reinventing themselves? It was around the bangle transition, and intro to SUVs.

The Top Gear review was favorable IIRC. I've always thought the non-alpina version was a good looking and cool GT car.

I never cared for the rear, but the front to me looks really good. The headlights remind me of the Uhlenhaut Mercedes 300 SLR. 

Saw this yesterday on one of my many trips to the parts store. 

Spotted at a red light.

Some kind of English car, based on the Union Jack sticket, not sure what.

Saw one of these at the local flea market this morning.  That is a tiny van.

I didn't ask how much it was.  It was hard enough to get a bad picture with the crowd it drew.

I just saw one of the Monroe Handler Mustang II! It was at CJ Pony Parts so not surprising but they only made 6 so it definitely a Unicorn!
