I just made a list....21 restaurants, 5 bars, and 4 other attractions.  I'm only there for a week!

Just had lunch at Maple and Motor.  Tasty burger that was the size of my face.

Slow bone was mentioned previously, definitely worth a visit, and is owned/run by the same guy as Maple and Motor.

Meddlesome Moth is worth a visit, so is Keller's Drive-In on Harry Hines.

Oh, and my favorite burger place is Jake's Burgers and Beer on Skillman in Dallas. Don't go to any of their other locations, they suck. Get the special with Jake fries.

My son ate a double there once.... he's a big kid though although he is 23 now.  He is a lot taller than I am with a muscular build and lifts sides of beef for a living and goes to the gym a lot.

Jake's is good.  Keller's is simply legendary and the Miata guys used to get together there once a week.  It's on FB, but I don't FB.

The best burger in DFW is Wingfield's, but honestly it's not a part of town I can recommend to most people.  It's a great burger though.  The burgers in DFW flat out stink compared to the Tex Mex though.  You can get good burgers all over the country at various places.

If you want good Chinese, Thai, Ethiopian, German, Austrian, Italian or middle Eastern there are amazing places all over Dallas.  Most people don't get it, but Dallas really is culturally diverse with people from all over the world.  It's more so that way than many other places.

I got that from driving around a bit last night. I tried two bars, but not my style- too fancy, music too loud, etc. I guess I'm old.

My coworker picked dinner last night so we did Italian at a place on the West End. I'll remember the name later. Pretty good gnocchi and Caesar salad.

Afterward we walked around the JFK memorial and saw the spot where he was shot. Pretty somber. Historical feeling.

Breakfast at Mother's Daughter this morning, it was OK.  Server was very friendly, service was fast and I liked the decor. Food was average.

Doing Rafa's for dinner tonight. So far the Marg is tasty and the salsa very hot and good.

Had some gas station BBQ for lunch near Mountain Creek that was way better than it should have been

I didn't see anyone mention the Haas Moto Museum. It's one of the few reasons I want to go back to Dallas. It's a truly world class collection of motorcycles and perhaps the single best collection of the sort of custom motorcycles I tend to like.

Rafas salsa is good not too hot but I was a local for a long time.

I prefer the Original Market Diner to Mamas daughters for breakfast.  My favorite breakfast place is in Carrollton and I doubt you have time for that in the morning.

We've had some long days at work  so my nights got cut pretty short...and we were starting again at 7am. Last night I really wanted Pho and found a good place in Greenville.  Last couple mornings my coworker wanted to have waffle house for breakfast. Not that I don't love me some hash browns all the way.

Tonight was another late night but I really wanted to try Campisi's Egyptian. It did not disappoint. This was the Italian restaurant of my youth- dark, quiet music, candles in red glasses, wood and red button tufted trim, red white and green wallpaper, and no windows. Sat at the bar and nursed a Makers Mark while they brought artichokes, veal Parmesan, salad and bread. Best Italian place I've been to in a long time.

Flight out tomorrow afternoon, so I'll have time for a decent breakfast.

Breakfast at Market Diner...it was good, but holy man- I had a waffle with blueberry sauce, a couple sausage patties and a cup of coffee, and the total before tip was $26.  That's....steep.

Banging out some reports and stuff in my hotel room before lunch.  Will probably hit one more place on the list for lunch before heading to DFW.

Don't waste your time looking for empty shell casings around Dealy Plaza.  It isn't likely you'll find where the "mystery bullet" came from.

It is an interesting spot to visit and walk around.  Everyone should go walk up on the grass by the fence, go to the old depository and look out the window and see things for themselves.  The only parkland doctors documentary is worth watching too.

That was the most outrageous meal, on a dollars spent vs what I consider "typical".  Dinner at Campisi's was pretty reasonable, at least by East Coast standards, and BBQ for lunch at Sonny's wasnt bad.

Back home now, Dallas was cool. Next time I think I'll stay in Ft Worth though.
