Grassroots Photographers, post YOUR favorite photos (one per day)

I've always really liked this one- we were at LSPR and I had commandeered someone elses Sony something or another- it was a step up from a plain ol PS. I had it in burst mode and I was futzing with the focus trying to frame the cars as best I could. My knees felt like E36 M3 because it was cold so I bent down to take a load off, and the stage started. We at the outside apex on the second turn of a 3 turn set, basically you set turn one super early, came into it facing the wrong way pendulum style so you were straight in turn two and then on for turn three in the uphill (anyone that's seen this stage at LSPR knows- I have a photoset of Pastrana setting turn 1 that blows my mind) and this photo came out of it. I was happy.

Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT with a Canon 28-135mm lens. Taken at the Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix a few years ago but one of my favorite action racing shots I've taken. I wish I had him driving into the picture instead of out of it, but I'm no pro.

I always loved moving pan shots like that of cars... :)

for today's selection

shot off an island in Panama... the mountians that are mostly covered by clouds are in Costa Rica. Was shot with a pentax k10d with some HORRID 75-300 tamron lens (bought it and a wide/normal with a manual body for $75) was shot at 100mm, 1/250 sec, f/16, and ISO 100, shot in RAW and converted with minimal post with picasa.

and because I like the shot series SOOO much I can't leave it at just one shot i'm going to break the rules... I just love seeing the native/indian crossing the way in his cyuko (canoe) 100mm, 1/30, f/16, ISO100

I posted this in a thread long ago but it's still one of my faves. I have one from my galaxy s3 I'll post tomorrow.

Grand Palm wildlife viewing area in the Everglades National Park. Nikon Coolpix L22 P&S. It was an amazing morning to see the sun rise there. Highly recommended.

I'm not a photographer, but I did spend the day working on Cuttyhunk Island yesterday, and took a few pics with my phone. Cuttyhunk is a really small island off the coast of Massachusetts. It is the last in the line of Elizabeth islands off the coast of Cape Cod.I wasn't really sure how they would come out as with the haze I couldn't see the screen on my phone really well, but this one came out pretty good for a cell phone pic.

well, if i can post something I played with a little to much in lightroom...

Took this at the local cars and coffee last fall. Again with just my phone and no processing.

Pittsburgh from Mt Washington. I shoot with a Sony A77. This was a 30 second exposure, and I did a little RAW editing.

End of the 2014 Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona -

This was taken in the Francis Marion NF after one of our extremely rare snows. Pretty sure this was shot with a Sony Cybershot.

I'll jump into this forum. Nikon D5100 with 80-300mm, full frame (not cropped). Bought the lens just before the Indy 500 & glad I did.

Taken with my old phone. SWMBO and I had just moved into our first apartment together and as you can tell, our pup Max liked the new digs.
