Has "murdered out" gone from straight broism to ironic in the last 5 years?

it had a sunroof.. and it was -very- troublesome. Every time I fixed something, something else would go. Literally.

I finally threw in the towel after replacing the starter.. the next time I started the car the waterpump went.
