I have experienced ball lightning or energy balls.  Woke my wife and I up out of a dead sleep, then just a ball of light floating around the room for a couple of seconds then exited the room through a wall or dissipated into it?   We both wondered what we just saw, questioned each other agreed that it wasn't a dream then researched it.....

Very interesting.  That is the type of report that is common and just adds to the strangeness...

...uhm, I mean, suuuuuurrreee you have!.... laugh

One of the theories is that ball lightning (or some instances of it) are the result of visual hallucinations as the result of high voltages effect on the brain. Any lightning near by, or do you sleep near a high voltage transformer? wink Two people with the exact hallucination... unlikely.... though memories are pretty malleable...

Its just pretty crazy with the camera crazy society we have now, no one has managed to catch it.

Aliens!  (There, I said it)

In all seriousness, I am very intrigued by cryptids.  Obviously big foot but most of all the Mothman.  It's hard to wrap my head around how many people have seen either and were embarrassed/scared to admit it.  I'm not saying either is real, but people are seeing something.  I'm just curious as to what the something is.

Corridor Digital actually did a really neat deep dive into moon landing footage and came to the conclusion that, with the technology of the day, to make footage of the moon landing as convincing as it would need to be, would have been harder than just actually going to the moon. During some of the flyover footage basically they said "To film this with miniatures, you would need a building miles long by miles high, and a light source as bright as the sun in a completely dark room."

In reply to NickD :

It's almost like "just going to the moon for real" is a lot cheaper than faking it / paying everyone to shut up about it basically forever.

Also, Russia was in the space race and I'm pretty sure they would have called shenanigans if the US did anything other than actually land on the moon.

I seem to remember Wally mentioning something about convincing a kook on the bus that the statue of liberty was actually covered in green plastic.

New York stripped off the copper cladding and sold it for scrap to help with the city budget or something.

My favorite one is that underneath the Denver airport, there are secret tunnels that lead to underground bunkers intended to protect the world elites and/or Lizard People when the New World Order takes over.

The dead internet theory first surfaced on the Agora Road's Macintosh Cafe forum in 2021, when a user started a thread called "Dead Internet Theory: Most Of The Internet Is Fake." Citing posts from major online discussion forums like 4Chan, the theory claimed that non-human bots are responsible for almost all online activity and content creation.

The Chicagoland area occupies 10286 mi^2, which is a little under 287B ft^2. That area was once covered by 3 ft deep of rich fertile soil, which comes to a little over 860B ft^3 of black dirt. During construction that is scraped off and replaced with sod that had to be bought. With a population of 9.44M, that come out to a little over 91k ft^3 of black dirt for each and every man, woman, and child in the Chicagoland area that was stolen by the dirt cartels. They then sell it on the black dirt market for almost pure profit... And that extrapolates out over pretty much every population center surrounded by farm land. It's all dirty money. In fact, they're actually the ones who first coined the term 'money laundering'.

I really like the compound conspiracy that NASA hired Stanley Kubrick to help them fake the moon landing, but Kubrick was so committed to the bit he insisted on shooting on location.

That reminds me of a comedian who said the best way to deal with a conspiracy theory is to out-conspiracy them. The example he used went something like this:

If the person says the moon landings were faked, just turn them and say "You think the moon is real?"

"Jet fuel can't burn hot enough to melt steel!"

"Well, what about the chemical chemicals? Who knows how hot they burn?"

Insurance being required by law is just some great lobbying on behalf on insurance agencies.

You realize that only the part that protects other people is required by law, right?  At least when it comes to vehicle insurance anyway.  Take all the risk you want with your own stuff.

But then we get to the Affordab... *SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH*

There is a FEMA death camp in Lubbock, Texas.

You can tell because it has railroad tracks, and fire hoses, and, uhh, the barbed wire on top of the fences is angled inward.

THEY have even brainwashed me into believing that I've worked in there and that it is just a cotton seed oil mill.

That design is made to maximize spillage and increase profits.

I just made this one up for this thread.

So 5 people can barely keep a secret about anything, but thousands of people can. That makes sense.
