What was in the glass Gary?  That's a pretty serious glass.... so I'm very curious about the contents.  Our new wine fridge arrives Monday so I get to store 12 or so cases shortly thereafter.

Cotes du Rhone

(Store at "cellar temperature" for reds. I'd say 50-55 degrees F. Whites can be as cold as you like them. We keep the few whites we have in the fridge. The reds are stored in our cellar.)

Beautiful Saturday afternoon at Sharpe Hill Vineyard in Pomfret, CT. Hot day but we were in the shade and there was a comfortable breeze. Good pre-chilled semi-dry white wine ("Ballet of Angels" is what they call it) and good company (Annie). And a great drive in the country with the new MX5 RF. What, me worry? smiley

I must say the bigfoot festival sounds like a good time...

Watched wife and daughter fly to Cancun:

Absolutely zero desire to go with them, irs a family trip with her brother, his family and my evil MIL.

Did abit of work on cars and started tearing into my son's SV1000 to do fork seals, chain/sprockets and a bunch of other small stuff.  mostly worked on cleaning up the house for his upcoming public safety home inspection which I have no idea what to expect.

We keep our wine fridge at 55.  We pull whites we want to drink and put them in the kitchen fridge or in an ice bucket.  The wife and I spent our 10th anniversary touring from Marseille to Lyon enjoying many wines.  Our collection is largely Italian and French.

Finally pulling finish on the floor at the new house. Most evenings after work for the past couple weeks have been spent sanding and cleaning to get to this point. Finished up the (hopefully)final coat at about 10pm.

I'm working this weekend; which is actually awesome! I'm getting paid to take a little road trip, go to the Adventure Van Expo, hang out outdoors, chat with folks into customized vehicles and building said vehicles, plus plenty of socializing, grilling, music, beer, beautiful sunsets...life is good!

I've already posted pics of what I did this weekend, but ... our son and his family are on vacation in SoCal. So our granddaughters were treated to their first surfing lessons at Huntington Beach. I wouldn't ordinarily post pics of one of my granddaughters, but I'm so proud of this one. Sammy. She's ten. She had open heart surgery when she was three. I wish I could post the full video of her catching the wave and riding it in, but I can't. So here's a couple of screen shots from the video. This is after only an hour of instruction. She's a gymnast and a rock climber, so that probably helps. I'll bet she continues surfing back here in Narragansett, RI when they get home:

Awesome; is that a 70's/80's Dodge-based Class B? Much of my typical work day is converted Sprinters and Transits, maybe the odd Promaster, and usually just a few years old, so it is always cool on the rare occasions I see someone with an older G10, Econoline, or the like that they are still upgrading!

We also have a fair number of 4x4 customers, but in the reverse of the Van folks, the trucks are usually older and less often newish, so I deal with lots of 70's-early 2000's Land Rovers, Land Cruisers, G-Wagens, occasionally a Bronco or Jeep. I guess they truly don't build 'em like they used to! smiley

Saturday we adopted a 3-month-old kitten from the SPCA.  She's settling in pretty well despite our 3 older cats, and seems to have already bonded nicely with DW, which is good.

Sunday we took a class on glass fusing given to us as a gift by DD#1.  We'd never done it before and it was fun.  I'm looking forward to seeing our finished pieces once they are kiln-fused and annealed.  We each made one art piece / suncatcher of about 4x5, and a smaller pieces as a pendant.

I'd totally read a build thread on this.  Super curious if and how it works out for you
