Soundtrack from the movie Midnight in Paris.
Great movie. Annie and I have watched it many times. We've been to Paris a few times. Spectacular city. Think sitting at a sidewalk cafe sipping Bordeaux listening to an accordion musician. You have to watch the movie to appreciate the soundtrack.
Well, maybe not for everyone. You really have to know the history of the era. Music, literature, art. Music: Cole Porter. Literature: Gertrude Stein and Ernest Hemingway. Art: Dali, et al.

More neopsychedelia / shoegaze-ish stuff:
I've been geeking on Rich Beato videos recently and just saw this one highlighting Guthrie Govan. I checked out the tour dates of the band he is with, The Aristocrats, and they are;t coming near me, but they ARE hitting the upper mid-west over the next week or so. Just an FYI.

Neo-psychedelic duo from Santiago, Chile. Vaguely reminiscent of Tame Impala. There has been fantastic music coming out of South America in the last 5-10 years.

I've probably posted this song before. Listen to it again and sue me if you must:

"... And then we shift into overdrive,"
Sludge rock, my ass. Crispest and most dynamic sludge I've ever come accross.

Still Corners - The Trip
(Actually, accompanying music for a Caterham 420R fish and chip run video.)
I'm playing war robot and listening to "BROKEN HEART" right now. Video games are something I love to play with pals in online gaming communities. The games I enjoy playing the most include magical attacks. My interest in League of Legends keeps growing, but I've heard that players may get quite aggressive and cruel. Those games. I recently participated in a Tyler the Creator Merch club. I tend to gravitate toward ball games in general.
You know him from the Doobie Brothers...
You know him from Steely Dan...

YouTube introduced me to a Japanese band called The Surf Coasters. I really like their recording "Last Train". Unfortunately their CD's are expensive and appear to be imported on Amazon...
Death Country as a genre, just for something different.

I have a thing for multiinstrumentalist one-person bands. This is just a really well crafted little song.
