Surprisingly, I only have one auto themed tattoo. It's to remind me about torquing my lugnuts after working on cars. I used to forget that step.
Can't say I won't get more though.
Do you have any automotive tattoos? Why not share with the rest of the class? What better way to show the world how much you enjoy cars and motorsports than by printing its imagery on your skin?
And although we don’t condone putting a GRM logo on your body forever, we won’t judge–we aren’t your parents.

I know a guy with the Cadillac old V across his chest. He owns a '68 Coupe Deville.
Also at work is a guy with the Muncie 4spd shift pattern tattooed on his right palm.
I plan on a Porsche 901 5spd pattern in the crook of my elbow eventually.

So areyou offering a free lifetime subscription to GRM and CM for the first person to brand themselves?
No, please don't.

Bryan "big b" Mahoney of Las Vegas?
This is the closest to automotive relates I have. I mean, there's a car there at least.
In reply to Javelin :
How long ago? I had similar, took over a year to go away, it went forward as the nail grew.
I've seen manual trans shift patterns, but not actual manual transmissions. That's one I'd really like to see, especially a cutaway or even just the internals.
In reply to Javelin :
Make a hole in the nail (hot pin, knife point) and it will drain and look a little better until it grows out.
In reply to Woody (Forum Supportum) :
Owie! It doesn't bother me so I think I'll pass. Thanks though!
In reply to Javelin :
Heat the pin or blade with a match or lighter and it will melt right through the nail. There's a dead spot under there, so if you don't push too hard you won't feel it.
I'll probably get the Datsun Z on my left shoulder. Haven't done it yet, probably once my own Z is running/driving.
Looks like this
In reply to classicJackets (FS) :
Recent occurances in eastern Europe would have me second guessing that one.

Clearly I'm not very up to date on my history as I cannot remember where else this has been used. But I do appreciate the warning, haha.

No.
Use a 1/32 - 1/16" drill gently twirled between thumb & pointy finger.
The release is better than Orgasm.

I know some people that I should introduce you to.
Amy?
My honeymoon with the (now ex) wife was Rt 66 from Chicago to L.A. Strangely, we got the tattoos when we divorced as a gift for each other. Kind of a "thanks for the memories" thing.
I can't take anything seriously enough to get a tattoo but PHG is a fan, she decided while getting this done that I would be getting a BMW gear pattern in the same location I've been dodging that for like a year. The BMW/Honda ratio around our household is still slightly in favor of the Germans therefore I'm winning the relationship.
She's dating me we can infer that decision making isn't a part of her skill set
She had never owned anything other than Hondas until we met, she got a flat tire in front of my shop and quite frankly is super hot so I tossed her the key to my E90 (was my NAPA sales rep at the time) shortly thereafter we had our first date at a BMWCCA function.
She bought herself an LCI 328xi for her birthday last year and proceeded to tell people loudly that I've broken her the tattoo came shortly thereafter. Doesn't want to forget "where she comes from"
It's a 4.5cm ruler in half centimeter increments. Ot was originally 6cm long, but the last 1.5cm faded away as it's tricky tattooing fingers. Comes in handy all the time.

I imagine finger skin doesn't stretch or sag much over time, this should work better than the yard stick across my belly

4.5cm = 45mm = 1.77 inches; what are you measuring?
(remember this is a family show)
Had this little baby done about 14 years ago by a bit of rusty LeMons race car when the sawzall let go. First and only time in my life I've ever gotten stitches (and took them out myself).
Mrs VCH has a picture of her 68 Camaro on her leg but she won't let me take a picture of it just now. I may have to wait until later when she's asleep...
How's this turbo diagram for y'all? Of course, it's not perfect, being 2D in a 3D world... Props to wikimedia for the inspiration.
A long time ago my buddy got the Cadilliac crest on his forearm. 2 years later they did away with it as an official logo. Good reminder of the impermenance of things.
