"No, Guac isn’t some factory prototype aerodynamic study with a raked windshield,” AxeHealey shared on the GRM forum. “Rather, Guac has the somewhat unusual distinction of being a running, driving and stopping car that has succeeded in a completing a barrel roll.”
The car already had a welded-in roll bar, oil cooler and some “nifty drop-in plastic door windows.” The smushed Mini Cooper was purchased for $675. The set of five Nardi road wheels cost another $200.
The solution: a $2000 Challenge entry involving more roll cage and less roof and windshield. “I’m still dreaming up what the final product is going to be, but one thing is for certain … It’s going to be very, very light.”
