If Toyota built an all-electric 86 race car, what would it look like? Perhaps something like the Scalar Performance SCR1.

Billed as “the world’s first all-electric touring car,” the SCR1 is rated for 245 kilowatts–about 328 horsepower–and 345 lb.-ft. of torque. In total, the car weighs in at 3040 pounds and is said to retain a similar weight distribution to that of a mid-engine race car.

Where can it compete? NASA has already approved the SCR1 for touring car road racing. (Our good friends Lifeline USA provide the fire suppression system, rain light and cage padding.)

Well, that's certainly a video that proves a White GR86 with decals can drive around some parts of a race track...

I'll be more interested when it posts an actual lap video, with that quality af gopro audio confirming they didn't just take a normal GR out for some hot laps.

EV Industry is too full of vaporware to gain my trust.

That's awesome. I'm impressed by the weight or lack thereof. It barely gained the weight of one hefty passenger but also gained a boat load of Hp and torque.
