This is closest we’ll get to a Porsche forklift

If the thought of a Porsche tractor gets you excited, just wait until you find out the carmaker also produced a forklift, too–well, sort of.

The forklift pictured was actually built by a company called Linde Material Handling, which, in case you haven’t guessed yet, builds forklifts, pallet trucks, order pickers and pretty much everything else you need if you had a multi-acre warehouse full of stuff.

Where does Porsche come in, then? The builder of the 911 apparently lent its design prowess to improve the ergonomics of the Linde forklift back in the early ‘80s.

It wasn’t a one-time deal, however, as the two brands celebrated over 30 years of design collaboration back in 2012.

So, if you or someone you know is in the market for “the Porsche of forklifts,” a Linde is clearly the best option.

Porsche seats seem always so comfortable to me. I wonder if the forklifts share that comfort level.

Actually, I wonder if Porsche makes office seats. I could use a new one.

There were Aircooled VW powered forklifts in the 1960s.....

That explains a lot, actually.

I've always found Porsches interiors to be about as nice as a fork lift's.

They did offer office chairs at one time, can't find a listing currently. In the mean time you can these:

One time the Porsche engineering consultants were hired to determine why there was so much storm damage in a certain area of Germany. They determined that too many trees had been cut down in the vicinity.

Wow. Those look stylish. I'm not much of a fan of backless chairs, but those would still look nice in my office.
