Looking to get your start in vintage racing? For less than the price of a brand-new Miata, you could have this 1969 Chevrolet Corvette race car.

According to the seller, the Corvette has documented history as a race car since the ‘70s.

Plus, the Chevy currently comes fitted with a new, SVRA-legal 327 V8 engine and is accompanied by “bins full of new parts.” (The GRM sticker on the rear fender is bound to add a few horsepower, too.)

Located in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, this 1969 Chevrolet Corvette has an asking price of $19,900.

That's actually a really good price for a fully functioning big bore car.

In NC we don't do safety inspections for vehicles over 20 years, which means this car could be made road "legal" by merely paying a small registration fee.  You could even run a classic 1969 vintage license plate and not even the actual current tag. What fun this would be on the street! :D

Also had similar thoughts here in SC. Going to events and legally being able to check out a tune on a side road would be a plus. However;  driving around minimally helmeted, open topped & caged is just to out there to pursue at this time. indecision

There's a guy fairly local to me that autocrosses this '66 'Vette that was converted to a race car in 1967, and he personally has been racing it since 1971. It's an awesome car, with a hot small block, a 'Glide, side pipes and big fender flares

So, this popped up on my FB feed, and I immediately noticed the GRM sticker. Colin, I said, we gotta share this one with the rest of the class.

Hope it goes to a good home.

This is perhaps the best way to buy the style you currently do not have.

That’s a cool story.

Saw Patrick run at Convention! I'd love to trade up to a NCCC Group II car and have something more comfortable than my NCCC R/P (which is street legal here in FL).
