Family owned for almost 40 years, and stored for 10 of them.

I have Mazda records since PDI miles which were 40 miles recorded before its delivery day,” wrote the seller of this 1985 Mazda RX-7 GS. “The six-digit odometer shows 78,007 miles with all records on its current Carfax reported, all miles of which were added under the only ownership since new.”

And it’s not stock. Finished in striking Tornado Silver Metallic over a red interior, this Mazda RX-7 sports a Dellorto Weber 48 IDA carburetor plus a bunch of Racing Beat parts: manifold, header, pre-silencer and muffler.

Based off photos from the ad, it looks like this Mazda also stood as a season winner in the Midwestern Council of Sports Car Clubs D modified category in 1994. The owner even still has the Mazda’s winning number and class stickers.

So now stands the question: Are we looking at a show car or another era of racing?

Find this 1985 Mazda rx-7 Coupe 2D for sale on Facebook Marketplace, with an asking price of $6000.

P.S. Hagerty values a 1985 Mazda RX-7 in “good” condition for around $10,600.

I think so too. Good price for used but not abused.

Don't know why they included photos of someone's grandma posing with the car.

It makes us want it even more: she comes with the car

We tried something similar when we first tried to sell the Z06 project car, but, for some reason, no one wanted the included J.G. wink

How do these guys that keep telling me I need this car know that I DO need these cars? WTF?

Gotta love those Time Trials Season Champion results where class winners included a Thunderbird and a Pinto! laugh

Sweeet!

I've had a 1983 (top-o-the-line) GSL for seven years and It currently has just short of 50K miles on it.

It flunked smog by a smidgen (California) so it's not tagged at the moment but other than that, it has been absolutely drop dead reliable...literally everything is original and works perfectly.

Here's the bummer, it's a two-pedal cryingcryingcrying but, but if it had an extra pedal, it probably wouldn't have survived or at least not remained in pristine condition and I got it at two-pedal pricing so...

Anyway, I loves me some rotors...550K total miles of experience between a FC, FE, and now a FB.
