We’ve seen that the Miata is also the answer for off-road adventures, so it might not be a surprise to see one outfitted to partake in rallycross as well.
Sporting a supercharger with a belt that slips, a lift kit from Paco with some unknown springs, an obnoxious straight-through exhaust, and just a touch of rust to top it all off, forum user engiekev is in the process of turning this $1500 Miata back into a potent rallycross contender with “bare minimum cost” in mind.
So far, engiekev has addressed the noisy exhaust and has even attended a rallycross event put on by the Detroit region SCCA.
