2009 All American Replica

28

Hey Tim, I found a place to mount the Koni coilovers you sold me at 2007 Carlisle. Only problem was it took 28 months and 2000 hours to fabricate the car to receive them. I think Xxxxs are overpriced so I built my own for $8000 plus labor. Only has a Honda D17A2 in it, but weighs 1260 lbs. Street legal as of July ‘09. Photo shows car still needing seat covers and some panel finishing.

I've self imposed a moratorium against starting new scratch builds at least until mid 2010. It's an obsession. Until then, I have a '39 Packard (straight 8) Super Eight sedan (with10,0000 original miles) that needs a little sheetmetal work to return to driver status. After that I think I need a traditional street rod with another straight 8 Packard for power. Picture eight exhaust pipes lined up and maybe four single barrel carbs in a line. The Packards are gifts from my gearhead father.

Wow. What's powering that one? Did you use a donor or build it from a hodge podge of stuff?
