2005 Cadillac CTS-V

I had a love-hate relationship with this car. It was fun to drive, it was gorgeous, and it made sexy sexy noises. But living with it was a bit of a pain—unfortunately, it’s cars like this that make GM build quality jokes possible. Anyway, I modified it with factory FG2 (sport option) shocks, Ground Control coilover tubes & Eibach springs, Hotchkis sway bars, K&N intake, Katech ported throttle body, and Corsa exhaust. I even autocrossed it in ESP on Team Dynamics wheels and Hoosier rubber. It made 356 hp and 340 lb-ft to the wheels, and ran 13.63@108.56 at the drag strip (lots of wheelhop at launch, lots of power at the top end). I genuinely miss the brakes, and the exhaust note, but that’s about it. Once I realized I liked the idea of the car more than I liked the car itself, I sold it.
