1960 Volkswagen Beetle

This is my newest project. It is a 1960 Beetle Euro Spec Ragtop. I have been chasing the deal on this car for about 6 months. All the work and chasing paid off and I have it home now. The Pictures I have dont really show the car in its current state. I will have to get some taken soon and post them. The car was in California until a few years ago. The P.O. bought it from a guy in Pitsburgh as a roller (no motor) and began to strip it down to bare metal “to check for bondo” He didnt find any and man do I wish he had left it alone. Oh well, no use crying over stripped paint… Its missing some pieces (including the semaphores) so I will be collecting parts for a while. The plan for now is for this to be a cool cruiser, something to take to local car shows.
