Asleep for the coming northern winter

update image

And now to sleep for the winter - some Sta-bil in the tank, a car cover, the battery into the warm basement. The last Saturday in October brought sunshine and +10º centigrade to the northern prairie. A good time for a final drive, and a nice way to say good night. So we ended up with 1309cc courtesy of a +.040 overbore, the carb and the supercharger finally shook hands and learned to work together - 75 or 80 horsepower and the car weights 1810 pounds - we’re okay for power. With the five-speed and the lower numerical final drive, 3000 rpm equals exactly 60 miles per hour - we’re nicely in the torque curve right there, we’re even comfortable up past 80 mph. Is The Ton achievable? I think, maybe. Perhaps we’ll find out next spring.
