Dec 2, 2011 update on The_Jed's 1997 Subaru Impreza Brighton

EJ22 intake manifold, tube, MAF, and filter.

The Scoob was displaying some poor street manners; while the peak power was impressive it was jerky and kind of on or off with no smooth transition. I retained the EJ18 harness and sensors but swapped out the intake manifold, injectors, tube, MAF and filter box. There were a few snags with vacuum lines but the results are well worth it. It seems to have more torque and the power delivery is smooth and linear.

Also my fuel economy has been a bit dismal, over the past few months I’ve averaged 27mpg, 25mpg, 22mpg and 20mpg per each successive tank. Hopefully that improves as well.
