1991 BMW 325i

Home-built engineer’s special. 15 years as my pet, saved from death-by-teenage-girl. Not shiny, not motor-swapped, not fast, but also never cut up. Somehow keeps up with NASA TX TT5 crowd. Has been known to challenge the e30’s reputation for being a speed bump on track. Started as a warmed-over street car and slowly evolved to track duty only. Home Depot’s finest splitter, free big wang. Megasquirt, wasted spark, Schrick, massaged 885 head, original short block with 260k miles, 4.10 rear gear, 15” wheels. Ground Control suspension. Homebrew big brakes. 2310 pounds without removing glass, dash, or sheet metal. Every custom part on the car was self-made. Appetite limited to fuel, tires, and maintenance fluids. Very pure, fun car to drive at the limit with no bad habits.
