For some reason the silvertop I rebuilt developed a rod knock after about 5000 miles, so I coughed up the $600 for a blacktop, sold the harness for $150, and popped it in. This is a whole different engine from the silvertop. Really “awake” and nearly frantic in this lightweight car. Back to fun and games. Looking at a W58 supra trans conversion for better ratios and strength. Still contemplating turbo, collecting parts, but really stuck on the management- it’s tough to tune ITB’s and I don’t really want to fab up a whole new intake to run a single TB. Also, I have no electronics skills, so would be wading into new territory.
