Friday night, we drained off a little of the old gas to see what we had. Still liquid, didn’t smell too much like lacquer thinner or too sweet, so we put in half a tank of fresh gas and hit the start button!
Nothing.
Terry realized he’d forgotten the jumper wire for the fuel pump, inserted it, and hit the start button!
Nothing again.
After checking all the wiring coming of the engine and fumbling blindly underneath it, he reseated the starter wire and hit the start button!
Success…followed by sputter sputter sputter.
We sheepishly reinstalled the intercooler we’d taken out earlier, hit the start button, and real success!
We have a running engine at least!
Yesterday, we started putting the car back together. Today or next weekend, it should be drivable…
