Hendrick Motorsports—the NASCAR outfit with over 30 years of racing expertise—is entering two of its Track Attack Camaro ZL1s. The 2019 model pictured above is powered by a 625-horsepower Chevrolet Performance LSX. If that doesn't do it for you, the 2020 model (still currently under construction) will have a genuine NASCAR racing engine said to make over 850 horsepower. Our Tire Rack Ultimate Track Car Challenge has seen its fair share of extreme track machines, and showing up with a combined output of over 1400 horsepower doesn't necessarily make winning easier.

The Tire Rack Ultimate Track Car Challenge is our annual no-holds-barred track competition. The rules are simple: Car and driver must pass a NASA safety inspection. Period.

Who else will be vying for the win in this week's #FastFriday selection? See for yourself:

Looks can be deceiving with Delmar Dale's 2008 Subaru Outback XT. Underneath its pedestrian exterior hides a 460-horsepower, all-wheel-drive machine with enough mods to stop and go on a dime. Will the Outback's stockish looks be enough to catch the competition by surprise?

Not to be outdone, Matthew Shaw is bringing an LS3-powered 1986 Porsche 944. Does a big-displacement American engine in a lightweight European body make for a winning combo?

View these cars, along with the rest of the field, on the UTCC website. Think you have what it takes to win? Register your car for the Tire Rack Ultimate Track Car Challenge here.

The Tire Rack Ultimate Track Car Challenge is presented by Tire Rack in association with Wilwood Disc Brakes and XClutch, with trophies from BimmerWorldFalken TireHoosier TireSPA Technique and Aeromotive.

I've seen LS powered 944's romp around the track.  I've got my money on them, over Hendricks.
