If this car doesn't break the 9-minute barrier, I may just cry.

I'm really interested to see how it does. Such a short development time... can it do it?

I'm totally OK with ridiculous prototypes using factory names at Pikes Peak.

So that has the 5.0 429hp V8 I've been reading about, right?

Nope, turbo V6. Bored/Stroked version of the V6 used in the Genesis. Claiming 750-775 hp.

That car is sweet as hell. Anyone else see the in-car video on Autoblog? Good lord, looked like a really really big handful to drive.

And is that a picture of the same 318 that was featured in this month's issue? The one that did really well in that huge international rally?

Yep, that's the only Tacoma I'd be caught dead in. And if they let me drive it, I just might be.

I love the mix of big-dollar factory prototypes and grassroots-y efforts.

Like this KE70(?) Corolla. Rad!

It better be broken. They are running on 1.7 miles more asphalt then in the past. In two years it will be a tarmac rally to the top. Go progress...

So here is the inside scoop. Rhys Millen is fastest on the paved section. Tajima is faster on the dirt. Rhys spun out on his last run today and told us that the Hyundai does not like it when he hangs the tail out. So he has to go against his drifting/rally driving style and drive it like a road racer. Very similar to what his dad had to do when he drove for Toyota. Its been a few years but those are my Toyota shots taken on something called film.

BTW Dallenbach blew his engine on the last run on the first day and he is second fastest on the asphalt. Didn't run today but I expect him back on Friday for qualifying.

DELICIOUS TOYOTA 503E POWER.

This motor is 110% batE36 M3 insane.

They pop up from time to time for sale. I wish i had the money. Wherever you can stick a 3sgte, you can stick a 503E.

I like the technical specs on the turbo: Large.
