My truck appears to have a massive fuel leak from the return line that goes from the last injector back to the tank, I can't see it but there is fuel dripping out of the bell housing so I'm guessing it's on top of the engine somewhere.
Has anyone done this job before, or does anyone have pictures of where the return line goes? It looks like a huge job to get to it that would take pretty much stripping everything off the top of the engine, and I'm not sure I could do it.
I'm trying to get an idea of how hard this would actually be to fix before I start taking things apart, because I'm very close to giving up on this project and getting rid of it. Insurance and registration are expensive, and I have had it for a couple years and never gotten it running long enough to even use a whole tank of fuel.
I was imagining it would be as easy to work on as a diesel Mercedes, but it would literally take less time to change all the return lines on an OM603 or OM617 than it did to write this post.
